Paris is called the city of art, a place full of art. The art history is long and profound, it attracted artist from all over the world. l have been to more than ten museums in Paris. The art is very diversity, all patterns of art, paintings, sculptures, and operas. As a vistor for two months, I visit more than ten museums, it includes the famous museum like Louvre.. Seeing the masterpiece like “Mona Lisa Smile”, “Venus de Milo” and others didn’t give me any shocks, just the same as l saw on my picture. However, I love the “Musee de l’ Orangerie”, although it only has two stories, walked beside the Water Lilies by Monet give me a fresh inspiration, the color is dizzy and syncretic. The painting brought me back to the early summer, under the sunshine with little breeze. And another my inspiration come from Parisan, their attitudes to art, they looked each artfact carefully and quitely. I saw a lot of art students sat on the floor and drew on their sketchbooks.
Weimar in Germany, Bauhaus architecture sytle originally borned here. Almost everything here is vintage, the window, the stairs, the light, but they’re not behind the times and made by wisedows. I really love the big glass window of our classroom, it’s both practical and aesthetic. These windows are more unique, they have wheels to control. This design allows many windows opened at the same time. And it is efficient for air and light circulation. Viewers will feel the room is bigger and brighter. Adhering to Bauhaus‘s architecture theories, rectangularity, horizontality, less is more.
The United States is a really diverse place, espcially LA, it gathers more than one hundred different cultures. So the modern art like street graffiti art is more prevailing here. The contemporary art includes more forms of expression, like the huge table, the blue doggie, and small flat train ... Meanwhile, the wonderspace in San Deigo is smaller and more technology element. The interaction way is not limited by visual, but also olfactory, tactus, audition. I love the VR session to hear others’ voices, I felt so close with other exhibition appreciators.
China is my homecountry and Shanghai is my hometown. It’s an international modern city, it grows so rapidlly, beyond my expectations. There are different sizes of museums on the two sides of HuangPu River. The ancient museum is around the Bund, and the newer museum is around west coast Bund. The Urban Space art exhibition is mixed both old-time Shanghai style and also new art work inside. It rebuild in the recent years, the original building is granary which stores food by the civilan. Also, the tall chimney redesigned as a thermometer. Other big city like Guangzhou and Beijing, local museums there represented more historial art, like Revolution Ear.
